第75屆金球獎入圍名單於台灣時間11日晚間在美國加州比佛利揭曉。電影項目上，今年由威尼斯影展金獅獎、吉勒摩戴托羅（Guillermo del Toro）執導的《水底情深》入圍7項成為大贏家，最大勁敵是史蒂芬史匹柏（Steven Spielberg）執導、入圍6項的《郵報：密戰》，將在最佳導演與影片項目一決高下。法蘭西絲麥多曼（Frances McDormand）主演的《意外》也有6項入圍。
戲劇類男主角儼然是影帝廝殺的「死亡之組」，同為奧斯卡影帝的湯姆漢克斯（Tom Hanks）將對上息影的丹尼爾戴路易斯（Daniel Day-Lewis）與常客丹佐華盛頓（Denzel Washington）；蓋瑞歐德曼（Gary Oldman）與拿下多項影評人協會男主角的新星堤摩西柴勒梅德（Timothee Chalamet）也不是省油的燈。
喜劇類則由稱霸獎季的《淑女鳥》以4項入圍一枝獨秀，女主角莎雪羅南（Saoirse Ronan）已在哥譚獨立電影獎、紐約影評人協會稱后，金球獎將對上老將海倫米蘭（Helen Mirren）、茱蒂丹契（Judi Dench），以及去年影后艾瑪史東（Emma Stone）還有來勢洶洶的「小丑女」瑪格羅比（Margot Robbie）。
值得注意的是曾以《悲慘世界》拿過喜劇類影帝的休傑克曼（Hugh Jackman）睽違5年將以《大娛樂家》強勢回歸。與《大娛樂家》同樣入圍3項的是歷經換角、才拍完12天的《金錢世界》，臨危受命頂替凱文史貝西（Kevin Spacey）的克里斯多夫普拉瑪（Christopher Plummer）入圍戲劇類男配角，導演雷利史考特（Ridley Scott）也入圍導演獎，算是給了劇組莫大肯定。金球獎頒獎典禮將於台灣時間2018年1月8日早上揭曉，由賽斯梅爾（Seth Meyers）主持。
